Create a cozy, warm glow in your home with a DIY Himalayan salt lamp made entirely from thrifted finds. Not only is this a fun craft project, but it’s also a budget-friendly way to add ambiance to any room.

DIY Salt Lamp Project Steps

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • 2 thrifted glass bowls (one smaller than the other, clear, so it fits inside the larger bowl)
  • Himalayan salt (enough to fill your bowl to the desired level)
  • 1 battery-operated fairy light set

01

Prepare the Bowls

Place the smaller glass bowl inside the larger one. Make sure it fits comfortably.

02

Add the Fairy Lights

Wrap the fairy lights around the outside of the smaller bowl. Keep the switch on the outside so you can easily turn your lamp on and off.

03

Fill with Salt

Pour the Himalayan salt around the smaller bowl, filling the larger bowl to your desired level. Make sure the salt surrounds the inner bowl evenly to create that classic glowing effect.

04

Turn On and Enjoy

Switch on your fairy lights and enjoy the warm, relaxing glow of your new Himalayan salt lamp.

This DIY lamp makes a perfect cozy accent for your bedroom, living room, or even your home office. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to upcycle thrifted finds from Goodwill NCW while adding a personal touch to your space.
