Powering possibilities across the Fox Valley and Bay Area

When you donate and shop at Goodwill North Central Wisconsin, you’re powering what’s possible for individuals in our local communities across the Fox Valley and Bay Area as they build job skills to sustain employment and improve their financial stability.
The Power of You & Goodwill NCW in Our Communities

When you donate
you’re not just passing on a bike your child outgrew, you’re passing on the gift of freedom and adventure to someone else.
The average donation creates about three hours of job training through Goodwill NCW Employment Services.

When you shop secondhand
you’re not just buying a bike for your child, you’re opening up a world of adventure for them.
On average, 90 cents of every dollar in sales is reinvested back into our mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment
When you donate and shop, it means you’re powering possibilities for individuals with employment barriers in the Fox Valley and Bay Area.

Meet Gabriel!
Gabriel “Star” entered Goodwill NCW’s School-to-Work program needing support in building confidence, developing consistent work habits, and learning how to navigate the expectations of a structured workplace. He experienced barriers related to attendance and transportation that made it difficult to fully engage in employment opportunities independently and needed guidance in strengthening communication skills and self-advocacy.
Star received individualized coaching, hands-on job training in a retail production setting, support in developing workplace routines and expectations, and assistance with overcoming barriers to attendance and transportation.
Through his participation, Star developed increased confidence, independence, and personal responsibility. He learned how to safely complete job tasks, follow workplace procedures, stay organized, and work collaboratively as part of a team. Star strengthened his communication skills, improved his ability to problem-solve challenges, and demonstrated initiative and motivation in his daily work, showing readiness to pursue future employment opportunities with greater independence and self-assurance.
Star states, “This program helped me realize I’m capable of more than I thought. I learned how to keep going even when things felt hard.”

Meet Donny
Through Goodwill’s School-to-Work program, Donny gained valuable hands-on experience at the Green Bay East store, where he received job coaching, workplace skills training, and support from store leadership in a real-world work environment. During his time in the program, Donny developed strong skills in stocking merchandise, following store procedures, communicating with team members, and problem-solving on the job.
Beyond building work skills, Donny’s greatest growth has been in his confidence and independence. He has learned to advocate for himself, make informed decisions, and take ownership of his responsibilities. Today, he makes meaningful contributions to daily store operations, demonstrates strong time management and task completion skills, and is working toward long-term employment success. Motivated by his future goals, Donny is now saving money in hopes to one day purchase a home for himself and his family.
