Your purchases and donations stay local and support individuals served by Goodwill NCW as they build job skills to sustain employment and improve their financial stability.
Every purchase provides pathways. Goodwill NCW reinvests an average of 90 cents of every dollar in store sales back into the mission to provide life-changing impact to individuals with barriers to employment.
Every donation builds job skills. The average donation creates nearly three hours of job training through Goodwill NCW mission programs to empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.
Every partnership creates opportunities. Goodwill NCW partners with more than 120 nonprofits across north central Wisconsin to transform lives through the power of work.

Meet Asah
During high school, Asah learned job skills in Goodwill NCW’s School-to-Work program. After he graduated, he was hired as a part-time Customer Experience Specialist working on the sales floor at the Oshkosh Goodwill store.
However, Asah wanted to continue to grow. Through Goodwill NCW’s Project SEARCH site at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, he pursued additional hands-on job training.
After completing the internship program, he returned to the Oshkosh Goodwill store and had a goal of becoming a cashier. He learned the skills of the role quickly and has been an incredible asset to the customer experience team at the registers.
“We are thrilled with Asah’s growth and look forward to supporting him as he continues to develop his employment goals,” Samantha Mullins, Store Team Leader at Oshkosh Goodwill said.
Meet Nancy
In 2022, Nancy toured the Manitowoc Goodwill store with Ascend Services, a community partner of Goodwill NCW, to explore job opportunities for those who are visually impaired. Nancy, who is blind, was offered a hands-on temporary work experience at the store that taught her new job skills and she excelled.
Shortly after Nancy completed the program, the store had job openings and reached out to see if Nancy would be interested in a permanent position. In May 2023, Nancy was hired as a Production Specialist, ticketing and preparing donations for the sales floor. With some creative problem-solving, like creating notches in her workstation for counting the number of ticketed items, Nancy always meets her production goals. Her leaders say she is a hard worker and a joy to have on the team.
“Nancy was super cautious and unsure of herself before. Now she is very full of pride. Nancy continues to grow more independent every day and loves her job,” an Ascend representative said.
