These boots are made for walkin’!
As the weather gets colder, boots become my favorite style staple. They provide the fashion and function that we all need in Wisconsin. On your next thrifting trip, be on the lookout for some cozy footwear! I love finding pairs of black or brown boots since they can go with just about anything. Colorful boots are also a fun way to mix up your winter looks.
Here are three ways that I style my Goodwill NCW finds during boot season.
Casual & Cozy
My go-to look in winter is a cozy sweater with leggings and, you guessed it, boots! This outfit is great for days when I want to be comfy but also look put together. It’s also a perfect outfit for traveling during the holiday season. If I needed to add layers of warmth to this outfit, I’d throw on a black denim jacket or a puffer coat.
Night-Out
Boots can also be dressed up. I like to pair combat-style boots with my little black dress for a simple statement look. If this isn’t your style, ankle booties pair nicely with tight or flowy dresses too.
Workin’ 9-5
Most workdays during winter, you’ll see me in dress boots. For this look, I paired a simple t-shirt and shacket with dark-wash denim pants. I added a silver-buckled belt to accessorize. Pro tip: Mixing heeled boots and high waisted jeans can give you lots of length.
