The Power of You & Goodwill NCW in Our Communities

When you donate

you’re not just giving away books; you’re passing on stories that spark imagination.

The average donation creates about three hours of job training through Goodwill NCW Employment Services.

When you shop secondhand

you’re not just buying a new-to-you book; you’re opening the door to another world.

On average, 90 cents of every dollar in sales is reinvested back into our mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment

When you donate and shop, it means you’re powering possibilities for individuals with employment barriers in Central and North Central Wisconsin.

Mission Impact in Central Wisconsin

Community Partnerships

A new partnership is already making an impact in the central region, where Goodwill NCW Financial Wellness Services recently began working with the Portage County Adult Treatment Court program. Cassy, one of our financial wellness counselors, met with a referred participant who is in the early stages of rebuilding stability and returning to work. The participant shared strong positive feedback with the program staff, and as a result, program leaders are now exploring making financial wellness sessions a requirement for graduation from Adult Treatment Court. Many participants are re-entering the workforce for the first time in years and benefit from guidance on budgeting, managing income, and building sustainable financial habits.

This collaboration reflects a growing recognition that financial literacy plays a crucial role in sustained employment that leads to improved financial stability. By addressing these challenges head-on, Goodwill is helping individuals create a stronger foundation for long-term success. This partnership is a meaningful example of how our mission to elevate people by eliminating barriers to employment extends to every corner of the community, including those working to rebuild their lives after justice involvement.

Rhinelander Community Foundation Partnership

Goodwill NCW is proud to be among the local organizations selected to receive support from the Rhinelander Community Foundation, highlighting the important role Goodwill continues to play in strengthening the Rhinelander community.

This funding will help Goodwill NCW increase awareness of its workforce development and supportive services, ensuring community members better understand the resources available to help individuals build skills, find employment, and achieve greater independence. The project will focus on improving outreach, increasing transparency around available services, and strengthening Goodwill NCW’s presence as a trusted community partner.

Goodwill NCW’s Rhinelander team is grateful for the support and recognition from the Rhinelander Community Foundation as we continue our mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment.
