Goodwill NCW’s post-retail sales sustainability efforts divert items from the landfill by sending products to salvage vendors and/or recycling facilities.

The amount diverted from the landfill each year could fill 1,200 semi-trailers. One hundred semi-trailers can fit in Lambeau Field, so that’s enough stuff to fill Lambeau Field 12 times.

On average, we divert 23 million pounds a year from the landfill through post-retail sales. That amounts to:

• 14 million pounds textiles
• 3 million pounds books
• 8 million pounds cardboard
• 800,000 pounds shoes
