Congratulations to Jacob for getting hired at Burger King in Appleton after completing a six-week work experience there with the support of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, job coaches and welcoming staff. “Jacob was over the moon when he found out he got the job,” said Phakou Thao, Goodwill NCW Case Manager. “He said he likes his co-workers and he enjoys being part of the team. He works three days a week during the busiest time — the lunch rush. Jacob does a variety of tasks such as washing dishes, mopping, taking out the trash, sweeping, and cooking burgers and fries. His favorite task of all is operating the broiler that cooks the burgers. The next time you eat out at Burger King, Jacob might be the one cooking your burgers and fries, and to him, that’s fulfilling.”
