Whit
Whit is a mom of two with a love for creativity, thrifting, and making things at home. She spends a lot of her time sewing, journaling, and finding ways to bring new life to things that already exist.
Goodwill NCW has become one of her favorite places to shop because it feels more like a creative resource than just a store. She’s always on the hunt for quality fabrics, vintage pieces, and items with a little bit of history behind them. One of her favorite finds are vintage Disney bedsheets that she plans to remake into matching dresses for her daughter and her – pieces like that remind her why she loves thrifting so much. It’s not just about what you find, but what you can create from it.

Megan
Megan lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with her husband and two kitties. She writes about thrifting and all things local on her blog and creates similar content on the ‘gram! She loves exploring new-to-her local spots and searching for the best thrift finds.
You may have seen her before on the Goodwill NCW blog. Since 2020, she’s had the opportunity to create content that supports Goodwill NCW’s mission.
Megan loves thrifting because she can’t resist the treasure hunt or a great deal! Her perfect Saturday or Sunday plan: grabbing coffee and heading to Goodwill. When Megan and her mom head out for a thrifting adventure, they plan on at least a couple of hours (and maybe a couple of Goodwill NCW locations). Time flies when you’re chatting and looking through the racks!

Nikki
Thrift lover, DIYer, and modern homesteader.
Nikki is a wife and mom of four who enjoys the busy, rewarding life of raising a family while running a small homestead, caring for animals, keeping bees, and growing some of their own food. She works part-time in the corporate world and spends much of her time keeping up with family life, from activities to everyday moments. When she can, Nikki enjoys gardening, crafting, thrifting, and decorating her home with unique, meaningful finds. She loves sharing simple, budget-friendly ideas to help others create a warm and joyful home.

Lauren
The daughter of a costume designer, Lauren was practically raised in secondhand stores. During her teen years, she actually started to appreciate this and began to build her thrifted wardrobe with eclectic vintage pieces (kids would stick their heads out the school bus window and yell, “It’s not Halloween!” to which she would throw her fist in the air, ‘Breakfast Club-style’ and shout, “I’m an individual!!!”).
Since then, she has continued to use her thrifting skills to personal shop for those around her, including hundreds of clients as a Sustainably-Minded Stylist, Color Analyst, and “Real-life Fairy Godmother.” Lauren lives to help people finally see and feel the inherent beauty they’ve been overlooking in the mirror.

For the last four years, she has owned a Personal Styling and Color Analysis business through the British-based Styling Company, House of Colour. She lives near Marinette with her sports-loving husband, three teenage kids (who – much to her pride – have inherited the thrifting gene), and two cats.
As a color devotee, she especially loves that Goodwill NCW arranges items by color.
Ellen
Ellen Van Groll has never stopped twirling in front of a mirror and has a lifelong love for all things style. She believes great style doesn’t have to cost a fortune and is passionate about sharing tips and tricks that help women feel confident every day. Ellen is a wife, mom of three, and lover of thrifting, boating, reading, and making memories with her big family of nine siblings and their families.

Bethany
Bethany is a onetime special education teacher and now full-time homemaker and mom of four. She loves to thrift and her love for Goodwill runs deep. She loves their mission and it invigorates her to find something at a fraction of the cost of retail, so that she can provide her family with quality and unique items. She has a passion for creating a collected home that’s cozy and inviting and making it beautiful without spending a fortune, which often leads to a good DIY. She loves being creative, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
