Trends are taking a new direction this season, and you’ll want to be ready.

In this guide, we’ll focus on three key areas: aesthetics, colors, and accessories. But keep in mind, trends come and go. You get to decide what works for you. Stay true to your personal style and choose what feels right!

Aesthetics

This shift in style is an exciting one. After seasons of minimalist, “old money” neutrals dominating, we’re moving toward something softer and unapologetically feminine.

This summer is all about embracing a more maximalist approach – think flowing silhouettes, romantic details, and pieces that feel light, airy, and full of movement. It’s a return to dressing in a way that feels joyful, expressive, and just a little bit dreamy.

At the same time, we’re seeing a rise in more saturated, statement-making colors. Think bright pink, deep burgundy, vivid red, and royal blue. What makes this trend especially fun is how these colors are styled – not just worn alone but paired together through bold color blocking.

One thing I especially love about shopping at Goodwill NCW is how the stores are organized by color. If you’re looking for a yellow sweater, a pink blouse, or a cream lace tank, you can head straight to that section and start discovering pieces right away. It makes finding trend-forward items feel simple and approachable.

Accessories

Never underestimate the power of a great accessory, especially with the shift from minimal to maximal style this season.

Jewelry is getting a bold refresh, with the return of statement necklaces, layered pieces, and vibrant colors that instantly elevate an outfit. Brooches are also having a major moment. While they look classic on a lapel, don’t be afraid to get creative. Add one (or a few) to your bag, use it to tuck a shirt, or secure a scarf. And if you can’t find a brooch, a bold earring can create a similar effect.
