matters!

Your purchases and donations stay local and support individuals served by Goodwill NCW as they build job skills to sustain employment and improve their financial stability.

Every purchase provides pathways. Goodwill NCW reinvests an average of 90 cents of every dollar in store sales back into the mission to provide life-changing impact to individuals with barriers to employment.

Every donation builds job skills. The average donation creates nearly three hours of job training through Goodwill NCW mission programs to empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.

Every partnership creates opportunities. Goodwill NCW partners with more than 120 nonprofits across north central Wisconsin to transform lives through the power of work.

Meet Nathan

Nate has learning barriers and a physical barrier that makes it difficult for him to use his hands. He started training at the Menasha Goodwill store through a program and worked with coaches to build job skills.

His training accelerated to utilize his skills to the fullest. In 2021, Nate was hired as a part-time Production Specialist. Nate helps wherever he is needed and has cross-trained to learn many job duties throughout production.

“I love people. I’m a friendly guy. I’m a happy guy,” Nate said. He told his team leaders that his job gets him out of the house, keeps him busy and makes him feel good.

Meet Frank

Frank started working at the Green Bay East Goodwill store through a job-skills training program. When he first started, he had a lot of anxiety about whether he would be able to keep up with the jobs he was assigned.

Frank’s store leaders and other team members helped him overcome his fears. He learned to pace his work so that he would not get overwhelmed, and he gained the confidence to learn many different job duties throughout the store. In July 2023, Frank was hired as a team member.

Frank says that loves his job and his leaders encourage him to be the best he can be.

“He is always friendly and encouraging to his team. He is also willing to do whatever is asked of him,” Becka Martilla, Store Team Leader said.
